How does paid testing work?
A developer funds a payment pool to get 12 real testers for a Google Play closed test. You apply to a test that matches your device and country, get accepted, install the app from Google Play, use it for the required period, and answer a short survey when it ends.
Do testers ever have to pay for anything?
No. Testers never pay us, the developer, or anyone else to join or continue a test. If a listing asks you to pay for anything, including an in-app purchase to keep testing, it is not a real test. Do not proceed, and report it to us.
How do testers actually get paid, and when?
The clock starts when the test starts, not when you sign up: a test only begins once every tester spot is filled, and until then the developer can still pull it. From the start date, payouts release on day 20, after the 14 day testing window and a short verification step confirm you genuinely used the app. Payments and payouts are handled by our payments partner, Whop. Why is there a 14-day testing requirement?
Google's closed testing program requires real testers using the app for a sustained period, not a single install. Your participation only counts once you have kept the app installed and used it for the full 14 days.
Do I need to use the same Google account the whole time?
Yes. Sign in on your Android phone with the same Google account you used to sign up here, and use that account for every step: opting in, installing from Google Play, and the survey. Mixing accounts is the most common reason a test does not count.
How do I know a test is real, and not a scam?
Only ever install from Google Play using the opt-in link on the test page. We never ask you to sideload an APK or download an app from outside Google Play, and a real test never asks you to pay for anything. If a listing does either, it is not legitimate, do not install it, and report it to us instead.
How do referrals work?
Share your referral link. When a friend signs up using it and completes their first test, you earn 1 credit, with no cap on how many friends you can refer. A signup from the same device or network as your own account does not earn a credit, to keep the system fair.
What is the difference between credits and cash?
Credits are earned by testing apps or through referrals, and can be spent to fund a credit-based test. Cash payouts come from a developer's funded payment pool. Credits are never redeemable for cash and have no cash value.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, any time from Settings. Deletion is blocked while you have money tied up in an active test or a payout that has not settled yet. Once everything has settled, deletion anonymizes your account and signs you out permanently.
